The Butchershop Bar & Grill

This award winning steakhouse prides itself on the quality of its dry-aged, grass-fed Scotch beef – and rightly so. The Butchershop attracts gourmands from across the central belt, eager to experience some of the finest cuts of meat known to man. There’s more to this bar/restaurant than prime meat of course – the whiskies, wine and signature cocktails are also worth crossing town for. Styled in the manner of a Manhattan grill, the Butchershop is packed out seven days a week. The brainchild of owner James Rusk, the diner was inspired by a spell in New York City. Now diners in Glasgow’s West End can experience an authentic slice of American life without having to cross the Atlantic. The beef is aged for up to 28 days and is rich and succulent. Choose from rump, T-bone or sirloin steak as well as juicy burgers and hand-cut fries. On Sundays, a hearty roast is the order of the day. While the food is exceptional, the bar is equally impressive. Kick back in a leather booth as you sup a Champagne Daisy cocktail and peruse the day’s papers.

Popped in again for the most perfect Sunday roast. The trimmings were countless and the wine was excellent. Our server, Rock, was a wonderfully attentive chap, super friendly and super cool... we've been before, we came back, and will do so again.
